On June 29, 2021, the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was visited by students of the first (bachelor) level of higher education under the OPP Technology of production and processing of animal husbandry products from the Poltava State Agrarian University within the framework of the educational practice "Basics of professional activity" together with the head of the department of technologies of small animal husbandry Svitlana Usenko.

Oleksiy Saglo, a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Scientific Research on Intellectual Property and Marketing of Innovations, interestingly and meaningfully told the students about the history of the establishment and the present of the scientific institution, and led a tour of the institute's museum.

In the scientific departments of the Institute, students got acquainted with the main directions of their activities: improvement of existing and creation of new breeds, types, lines and their crosses for obtaining high-performance crossbreeds and hybrids of pigs; substantiation of optimal approaches to fodder production, rational feeding of animals of various production groups; development of modern biotechnological and selection-genetic methods in pig breeding; development of methods of preservation and improvement of the domestic gene pool of pigs; improvement and development of progressive and ecologically safe pork production technologies. Svitlana Usenko, the guarantor of the OPP Technology of production and processing of livestock products of the second (master's) level of education, together with the director of the Institute of Pig Breeding and APR of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Voloshchuk, discussed the requirements for future specialists and expressed wishes for the optimization of educational programs in the light of the interaction of employers with educators for the purpose of training specialists of the highest category.

On June 8, 2021, scientists of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production of the National Academy of Sciences visited the 33rd International Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Agro-2021".

From May 20 to 21, 2021, employees of the Institute of Pig Breeding and AIP of the National Academy of Sciences, in particular: the deputy director for scientific work, candidate of S.-G. of Sciences S.Yu. Smyslov, head of the breeding and genetics department, Dr. S.-G. of Sciences Gryshina L.P., head of the breeding laboratory, candidate of agriculture. Sciences Peretyatko L.G., s.n.s. of the laboratory of ecological control of man-made emissions of animal husbandry facilities, candidate of biological sciences O.I. Pidtereba, provided scientific and methodical consultations on issues of breeding and animal husbandry technology at the SE "DG named after Dekabristiv" ISv and AIP of the National Academy of Sciences.
Also, together with farm specialists, the animals in the herd were sorted and pigs of the Myrhorod breed were selected for further repair of the herd and its restoration.

The team of authors (editorial board: V. Voloshchuk, S. Smyslov, O. Saglo) on January 20, 2021 was awarded the II degree Diploma in the regional competition "Best Book of Poltava Oblast 2020" for the book "Breeding and Technological Center of Pig Breeding: to the 90th Anniversary of the Foundation" of the Institute of Pig Breeding and AIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".

On September 22, 2020, a thematic tour was held in the museum of the institute on the occasion of Poltava City Day on the topic: "Educational traditions on the territory of Shvedska Mohyla Street", which is dedicated to the unknown history of Shwedska Mohyla and the educational and scientific institutions that are currently located on this street. This excursion was conducted by the institute's senior researcher, Candidate of Biological Sciences O. F. Sahlo.

On this tour, there were informative messages about:

- close connection between history, education, religion and museum work;

- the history of the first school at the Swedish Grave;

- the activities of the Oleksandr-Mykolaiv three-class church-teacher school in the building of which the modern Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences is currently functioning, and many other interesting pages of past and present life are mentioned.

On July 1, 2020, elections will be held for the director of the M.I. Vavilov Poltava State Agricultural Research Station of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Agro-Industrial Production of the National Academy of Sciences. All scientific workers of the research station have the right to participate in the election of the director.
