Born on May 29, 1977 in the village of Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv district, Zaporizhzhia region, in a family of employees. Ukrainian, citizen of Ukraine. In 1999, he graduated with honors from the Kharkiv Zooveterinary Institute (now the Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy) with a degree in zooengineering. In the same year, he entered the postgraduate program of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (Kharkiv), after which in 2003 he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "Combining ability of sows of a new Ukrainian meat breed of pigs in combination with boars of different genotypes".

From 1999 to 2004, his work was associated with the pork production laboratory of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, where he worked in positions ranging from junior to senior research associate, and since 2004 he headed the laboratory. In September 2004, he began his teaching career as an associate professor at Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian University, deputy dean for educational and scientific activities. At the same time, he continued his scientific work as a senior research fellow (part-time) at the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Central Regions of Ukraine, UAAS (Dnipropetrovsk).

In 2008, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Breeding and Genetics of Farm Animals. Since February 2008, he entered doctoral studies at the Institute of Animal Husbandry of UAAS (Kharkiv). In 2009, he headed the pork production laboratory, and since 2018, the department of breeding and technological research in small livestock and horse breeding.

In 2017, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Theoretical justification and practical implementation of methods for increasing the genetic potential of pig productivity". Since 2020, he was appointed to the position of Deputy Director for Scientific and Innovative Activities of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the NAAS. In September 2021, he was transferred to the position of Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the NAAS. Since October 2021, he has been acting as Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the IT of the NAAS. From November 2021 to January 2022, he has been acting as Director of the Institute of Pig Breeding and Animal Husbandry of the NAAS. From 2022 to the present - Director of the Institute of Pig Breeding and APV of the NAAS.

He is constantly engaged in training highly qualified personnel. Under his leadership, three candidate dissertations were defended in the areas of animal breeding and selection, as well as livestock production technology. He is a member of the editorial boards of three professional scientific journals - the Scientific and Technical Bulletin of the NAAS IT, the Bulletin of Agrarian Science and the Agrarian Bulletin of the Black Sea Region. He is a member of the academic councils of the Institute of Animal Breeding of the NAAS and the Institute of Pig Breeding of the NAAS, a member of the special council D65.356.01 at the NAAS IT.

He has published over 270 scientific works independently and in co-authorship, including 5 recommendations and biobibliographic indexes, 4 breeding, development and concept programs, 3 patents for inventions, 4 monographs and state animal studbooks. He is actively involved in the creation of educational and methodological manuals.
