International Scientific and Practical Conference

"Current state and ways of intensification of the pig industry in the CIS countries" (August 21-23, 2014).

Prior to the start of the conference, the Institute prepared and published another interdepartmental thematic scientific collection "Swine Farming", which included reports and articles by scientists from Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian Federation (65 publications in total).

The conference resolution indicated the need to intensify the exchange of information between scientific institutions and leading manufacturing enterprises of the countries participating in the conference. The topic of scientific programs, as stated in the resolution, should include the expansion of research on the search for effective as well as objective methods of evaluating pigs and ensure the further search for ways to increase the financial interest of farms to grow high-value young animals to improve the productivity of commercial pig farming.

The work of the conference was covered on local television, as well as in print media and on the Internet.

It has been decided to hold the next XXII International scientific and practical conference on pig breeding in the territory of the Republic of Belarus next year.
